Covid-19 Update - Wildflower Walks Cancelled
In light of the pandemic, we have, unfortunately, had to cancel the Wildflower Walks planned for August, 2020. This was a difficult decision and one that had to be made fairly early in the pandemic, but we believe that it was the right decision for the protection of our guests, workers, & family. In the meantime, we have planted cover crops in our flower fields to protect and nourish the soil, and we look forward to welcoming you to the farm in 2021.
We are deeply grateful for the efforts of a lot of people over the past few months, but especially for the farmers whose hard work and innovation kept us fed this spring, and for the grocery store workers who took on unknown risks to stock shelves and pack orders when it would have been easy to just stay home. Thank you.
Sunflowers! Who doesn’t love the cheeriness of a field of sunflowers? Or the kaleidoscope of a meadow full of wildflowers? Weather permitting and Mother Nature willing, join us for a day on the farm in August!
Enjoy a relaxing walk through kilometres of trails through the hardwood forest, or along Cricket Creek. Let the kids stretch their legs, and then sit by the spring fed pond to rest, or take a ride on our wagon pulled by one of our vintage Massey Ferguson tractors. Take pictures with our organically-grown sunflowers as your backdrop. Pick a blossom or two to take home.
